Corsair rolled out a new PSU today called the HX1000W. The 1000W PSU is the world’s first power supply certified by NVIDIA to be compatible with NVIDIA 3-way SLI under NVIDIA’s new 3-Way SLI Certification Program.
The PSU will make its first public appearance at CeBIT next week. The PSU is designed to run new quad core processors and three NVIDIA graphics cards. Features of the HX1000W include guaranteed 1000W output at 50C, industrial grade components rated at 105C, and dual +12V rails and a 140mm temperature controlled fan. The PSU will carry a MSRP of $279.99.
"Having the first 1000 watt power supply that is certified for 3-way NVIDIA(R) SLI(R) Technology is a great honor," said Jack Peterson, VP Corporate Marketing. "The fact that the HX1000W meets the 3-way NVIDIA SLI Technology specification at a wattage rating that is up to 30% lower than some of our competitors highlights Corsair's superior engineering expertise and world-class product development efforts," continued Peterson. "Clearly, this is the ultimate power supply for enthusiasts and demanding customers who want the very best hardware in their gaming rigs."
