NEC announced a new projector today for use in the business and education environments. The projector is called the NP3151W and has 4000 lumen brightness and a 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution. The projector also includes built-in wireless connectivity for wireless sharing of the projector from networked computers.
NEC says that the projector uses advanced HQV processing and detail enhancement to help improve picture quality. Optional quick-mount lenses allow the projector to throw images from 40 to 500 inches. The projector also supports Windows Network Projector functionality with Windows Vista.
"Customers in presentation environments often desire a high-quality image with better contrast, image detail and motion-video clarity," said Rich McPherson, Product Manager for NEC Display Solutions. "This attention to video quality creates a more professional environment and captivating experience." Weight for the projector is 16.1 pounds and it will be available in March 2008 at a MSRP of $4999.
