Keeping THE data on your notebook backed up while you are on the road can be a bulky job. You commonly need some type of external storage drive or you have to spend time burning data to CDs or DVDs. SanDisk has a new device called the FlashBack Adapter that can make backing your data up automatic and without bulk.

The FlashBack Adapter is designed to fit inside the ExpressCard slot of newer notebook computers. Once inserted into the slot you can put SD or SDHC cards of any capacity into the adapter. The FlashBack adapter continuously backs up the data on your computer so you always have data protection.

The software included with the adapter is for Windows based computers and allows users to pre-select which files will be backed up by specific file name, folders or file types. The device also encrypts the data automatically in case of theft or loss. Backups are done in real time so as soon as you change a file it is backed up for you. The device is low cost with a MSRP of $29.99 without a SD card.
