Today Reuters runs a story that Infinium Labs announced November 18th to be the official launch date for their Phantom Game Console and Online Game Service.

In the story the Infinium Labs CEO Kevin Bachus is responding to the rumors and about the validity of Infinium Labs with "I know all too well the skepticism and the cynicism and the jokes and the rumors and all that stuff". Let's see what they show at the E3 2004 show.

The Phantom Console actually features a PC-like architecture, with 256 megabytes of RAM and a 40 gigabyte hard drive, running an embedded version of Windows XP.
The Phatom also looks differently now, see product shots and compare with earlier Phantom Photos from last year.

The Phantom Game Console hardware would be free with a two-year subscription to its service or $199 without the subscription. The service is starting at $29.95 a month.
