The 1UP network got some exclusive details about The Sims 3 that will be showing up in a coming edition of the Games for Windows Magazine. According to 1Up The Sims is the best-selling PC franchise around, even bigger than WoW.

The big change reported for the latest Sims game is the environment. The game takes place in a wide open, constantly changing neighborhood. Everything in the Sims 3 is integrated from what you do inside your home to what you do outside.

The needs system of the game characters has changed as well to allow for more exploration of the environment instead of constantly needing to meet your characters needs. The full story will be available in the April/May issue of the Games for Windows Magazine.
