InFocus introduced a new projector today called the IN83 that uses DLP Darkchip4 technology with BrilliantColor. The projector is capable of throwing a full 1080p image. The IN83 offers a 5000:1 contrast ratio and a max lumens of 1600.

"We are excited to announce the IN83 as the next member of our award-winning family of home theater projectors," said David Woolf, Senior Director of Product Management. "This stunning product highlights InFocus's dedication to delivering an outstanding home theater experience to our customers."

The projector has a maximum contrast ratio of 15000:1 and its Deep Color technology delivers 1.07 billion colors. The projector is also HDMI 1.3 compliant and has 10-bit video processing. The IN83 will be available in March for $5999.
