Lenovo announced a new line of PC displays today that are all EPEAT Gold certified. The line has a total of nine different models. The certification of its new line of displays makes Lenovo the only manufacturer to offer the gold certified distinction.
EPEAT stands for Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool and is reportedly a highly sought environmental designation in the tech industry. The newly certified displays from Lenovo meeting the certification include the ThinkVision L151, L171, L171P, L194 Wide, L190X, L220X Wide, L174 and L197 Wide. Lenovo’s first gold certified display was the L193P.
Pricing on the displays varies with the L174 retailing for $239.99 and the L197 going for $259.99. The displays will be available between April 18th and May 9th 2008. “Lenovo is leading the way in the current wave of environmental display improvements with the introduction of a full lineup of EPEAT Gold monitors, as well as more energy efficient 17 and 19 inch mainstream displays,” said Tom Shell, vice president, global visuals business unit.
