Any gamer will tell you that good sound can immerse you in a game on your PC as much or more than good graphics. One of the undisputed leaders in sound is Dolby and today it announced a new next generation sound system for the PC.
Called the Dolby PC Entertainment Experience program it includes a suite of Dolby audio postprocessing and connectivity technologies to enhance the PC listening experience. The latest updates to the program include Dolby Home Theater designed to deliver better surround sound. Second generation Dolby Sound Room provides better listening experience from any pair of speakers.
"Sound is an essential ingredient for the entertainment experience, and today millions of people worldwide are using their PCs to enjoy music, movies, and games," said Keith Kowal, Marketing Manager, PC Business, Dolby Laboratories. "People expect great sound, but they also want a simple and enjoyable way to experience it. The latest version of the PC Entertainment Experience program gives PC makers a powerful way to integrate the same features, performance, and flexibility found in the most popular consumer electronics devices."
