The market research firm NPD published their monthly video game market sales numbers for February. The Sony PS3 outsold the Xbox 360 by about 30,000 units.
Microsoft already prepared us for this situation citing stock issues, which are supposed to be resolved next month.
The Nintendo Wii still outsells the PS3 and the Xbox 360 by a wide margin.
In February US consumers bought 432,000 Wii consoles, 281,000 PS3 consoles and 255,000 Xbox 360 consoles.
I actually have no idea where people find a Wii console for $249. I guess most still pay a premium, as it is not available online. The 3rd party sales prices for the Wii came down a bit to now $358 on Amazon.com.
