Nextfest showed the invisible man, kinda.
The optical camouflage project from the Tachi Lab of the University of Tokyo demoed on the show floor. We reported about this transparent cloak project in the before.
To see the transparent effect you need to look through a lens in front of the guy, who wears the retro-reflective jacket. The photos don't show that.
Basically how it works is that a camera behind the person is sending the image to a projector infront that is projecting the image on a retro-reflective surface.

This technology could be used to make airplanes see-through during landing in the cockpit.
