These days everything in our homes is starting to go high-tech. We have HDTVs in our fridge doors, remote controls for our lights and music piped all throughout homes powered by our MP3 players. Now the lowly washer and dryer are going high tech as well.

LG announced a new washer/dryer combo today called the LG SteamWasher and Dryer Combo with Allergiene cycle model WM3988HWA. The combo style is very appealing to people like me who hate do to laundry. The machine will wash your clothes and then dry them without you having to move them from one machine to another.

The machine is packed with features like SenseClean system that detects the weight and size of a load and adjusts the water level and wash time accordingly. The machine also adjusts the spin cycle RPM to reduce vibrations caused from unbalanced loads. The 4.2 cu ft size machine retails for $1999.
