Indian Tata Motors apparently to pay less than the initially reported $2.65 billion for Jaguar and Land Rover.

Ford seems to be close to a deal with Tata Motors to sell the luxury car brands Jaguar and Land Rover.
I wonder if the deal will hurt the brand recognition of Jaguar and Land Rover. Tata Motors is fairly unknown still. They got some publicity with their introduction of their $2,500 car Tata Nano.
