Possible the most anticipated thing from Apple since the iPhone was the iPhone SDK that was released a few weeks ago. The SDK was so popular that Apple says 100,000 downloads of the SDK were made in the first week it was available.
Apple is now saying that the second beta version of the SDK is available. The kit is free for download and includes the interface builder, Xcode integrated development environment, iPhone simulator, frameworks, samples, compilers, and the Shark analysis tool.
In short the Beta 2 version has everything a would-be iPhone developer needs to make applications for the iPhone. The firmware is still slated for a June release that will allow consumer iPhone's to take advantage of the apps.
