Sony - IBM Cell Processor to power PS3 and a TV

Sony, IBM and Toshiba are working together on the Cell Chip. Reuters has a story that the Cell CPU will also be used in a TV-set.
The Cell CPU is 10 times more powerful than today's CPUs is the heart for the Playstation 3. Test production of the Cell Chip is supposed to still start this year.
The three companies are developing state-of-the-art 65-nanometer technology. The partners aim to make the new chip the global standard for semiconductors used in digital home electronics.
