Sony introduced the world's smallest full HD camcorder HDR-TG1 last week. Amazon.com started now to take pre-orders for the hottest camcorder in a while for $899.99.

Amazon states a shipping date of May 30th for the Sony HDR-TG1.

The tiny new Sony full HD camcorder weighs only ten ounces and measures just 1.3 inches wide by 4.7 inches tall by 2.5 inches deep.
The Sony HDR-TG1 records 1920 x 1080px HD video and 4MP digital photos directly to Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo or PRO Duo Mark2 media cards.

Other feature highlights of the HDR-TG1 include 4MP still image capture, Face Detection technology for video and still images, 2.7 inch screen and 10x Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens.
