Samsung releases the first HSUPA enabled phone on the market with the Samsung SCH-M470 smart phone.
HSUPA enables upload speeds of 2Mbps. As more and more user created content (UCC) is made on mobile devices upload speeds need to improve. HSUPA is supposed the answer for this need.
Market research company Gartner predicts the HSUPA market for 2008 to have a size of 77 million users, 280 million in 2009 and 610 million in 2010.
Other feature highlights of the slider-style Samsung SCH-M470 include 2MP camera, Wifi, Bluetooth 2.0, push email and Google Search.
The Samsung SCH-M470 has a price of about $600 in Korea and is going to be available through SKT.
