Mitsubishi Introduces New Line of HDTVs

Mitsubishi announced its new line of HDTVs for 2008 including thinner frame and brighter DLP models and Ultra Thin Frame LCD HDTVs. The Mitsubishi Laser TV called LaserVue will be available to consumers in Q3 2008.
Mitsubishi says that it will include three new 73-inch 1080p DLP HDTV sets as well as both 60 and 65-inch sizes. The sets will also be 3D-ready. Prices for the DLP sets will range from $1799 to $4699. The new LCD sets will range in size from 40 to 52-inches and feature full 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rates. These setes will range from $2499 to $4499.
LaserVue was shown at CES 2008 and will ship in Q3 2008 at an undisclosed price. The technology promises a range of colors never available on TV before now. “Mitsubishi has created a new category in television with laser technology and now we are creating an exciting new brand, LaserVue, which we believe consumers will come to equate with the industry's best performing televisions.”
