Novint Technologies announced today that it had made an agreement with EA to enable some EA game titles for use with its Novint Falcon controller. Titles from EA that will be compatible include Madden NFL, NBA Live, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Need for Speed and Battlefield.

The titles are expected to be released with compatibility later in 2008. "EA is responsible for many of the best selling franchises of all time," said Tom Anderson, Novint's CEO. "These incredible titles have captivated millions of gamers. We are excited to be licensing EA's titles to add significant AAA titles to our platform, and addressing game support for the Falcon, the most important milestone our customers want to see."

The Novint Falcon replaces the mouse and joystick commonly used for gaming. I have used one for a bit at tradeshows and have found it to be interesting, though it seems to have a learning curve for users that have gamed with a mouse and keyboard for so many years. I am glad to see Novint get some good games for use with its controller.
