Remember the Amazon Kindle? The eBook reader was briefly available during the Holidays. Five months later Amazon apparently managed to get it in stock in reasonable numbers.
A month ago Jeff Bezos apologized for the ridiculous supply situation of the Kindle.
In November of 2007 Jeff Bezos said that the Kindle e-Book is the most important Thing Amazon has ever done (they just did not make enough...).
There are now more than 110,000 books available for the Kindle, including more than 90 of 112 current New York Times Best Sellers.
Kindle features a 6" diagonal E-Ink electronic paper display with 600 x 800 pixel resolution at 167 ppi and 4-level gray scale. Kindle downloads books anywhere via EVDO network.
The price of the Kindle is still $399.
