Iogear announced a new USB 2.0 External DVI video card today that allows desktop and notebook users to extend their PC desktop to additional displays. Iogear says all users need to do to use the device is to plug it into a USB port and install the driver.

The product is USB 2.0 compliant and works on both Windows XP and Vista operating systems. Iogear says that you can add up to six of the external adapters to your computer, but they have to be connected directly to a USB port not a USB hub. The maximum supported resolution is 1600 x 1200 in 32-bit color. The adapter retails for $149.99.

"Users need a simple and effective way to create a multi-monitor workstation to increase productivity," said Miranda Su, executive vice president at IOGEAR. "Our USB 2.0 External DVI Video Card gives them the additional screen space they need to work efficiently with the least complicated set-up."
