The problem with some GPS devices is that the maps don’t look anything like the real world streets and cities you are trying to navigate through. This makes it very difficult to make out landmarks and other features you might be looking for.
Drivers in Europe now have a new GPs device available to them that is very cool. The NDrive G280 and G800 GPS devices both feature photo mapping navigation. The system overlays your route information onto real photos of the location you are driving though.
The system includes five different perspectives with four diagonal and one bird’s eye view of the surroundings. Both units also feature locations of speed cameras and are shipped with maps of the UK and Ireland. Other European maps are available as well. The G800 adds Bluetooth connectivity and an FM transmitter to send the spoken directions through your cars speaker system. The G280 and G800 will be available at the end of April in the UK at GBP199 and GBP315 including VAT respectively.
