Samsung launched a new DVD player called the BD-P1500 and the HT-AS720 home theater audio system. The BD-P1500 is Samsung’s 4th generation Blu-ray player and supports full 1080p playback and can upscale normal DVDs to 720p, 1080i, and 1080p.

The Blu-ray player supports Dolby True HD and 1080p at 24 fps and 60 fps. The HT AS720 features a 5.1 channel receiver, subwoofer and six satellite speakers with 650 W of total power. The amp features Dolby True HD Support and DTS HD pass through.

The DVD player features HDMI out, component video, and S-Video outputs. The home theater system is available now for $599 and the BD-P1500 will be available in June at an undetermined price.
