Nintendo reported that their fourth-quarter profit jumped 60%. The company has a bit subdued outlook with forecasting only a modest annual growth of 9% as sales of its DS handheld machine slow.
Nintendo said operating profit for the January-March quarter surged to 93.2 billion yen ($900 million). This news is a bit surprising as Wii sales still are growing. Nintendo claims declining Nintendo DS sales as reason for the conservative outlook.
Nintendo stated again to raise the monthly production of Wii consoles to satisfy demand especially in the United States.
