Right on the heels of the announcement that Age of Conan has already gone gold Funcom announced today that a Polish language version of the game is coming in the second half of 2008. Funcom is working with CD Projekt to fully localize voice and text for the game.
"It is with great pleasure and satisfaction that we are announcing this partnership, one that proves to be yet another milestone for our company - releasing the first subscription MMORPG fully localized into Polish," said Michal Kicinski, joint CEO of CD Projekt. "We are committed to providing a new level of game experience through the use of local game masters, community managers and customer support. For years we have waited for the right MMO game to come along and now it is here, in our hands."
This is the first announcement of a foreign language version of Age of Conan I have seen. I would have thought Spanish would be the first foreign language version. It’s cool though that you can get versions for different languages; I guess Funcom is hoping Age of Conan will be more like WoW.
