Japanese byd:sign introduces low-cost 42" Plasma TV for 300,000yen ($2,736.70).
byd:sign Corp. is a japanese startup that will begin selling the d:4222GJ 42" Plasma TV this week. the Plasma TV features 852x480pixels and 16Mio. Colors. This are not the best specs, but the price is pretty low. This is a great trend. Small companies can force the big guys like Sony to drop prices.
Japanese Nikkei Net says that Plasma TVs drop 15% in price every year. Only a couple more years to go until they are as affordable as a Projection TV now.
