NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - "Office Space" director Mike Judge will team up
with "Juno" co-star Jason Bateman for another feature that mines the workplace
for comic material.
"Extract" follows a flower extract plant owner (Bateman) dealing with workplace
issues and a stream of bad luck, including his wife's affair with a gigolo.
Judge previously satirized the workplace in the 1999 cult classic "Office
Space," while his 2006 film "Idiocracy" took on the dumbing-down of American
society.
The new project, which Judge also wrote, is set up at Miramax Films. He is
perhaps best known for creating the animated classics "Beavis and Butt-head" and
"King of the Hill."
