Samsung announced the SGH-P960 DVB-H TV phone with OMA-BCAST support today for Europe.

DVB-H was adopted by the European Union earlier this year as the technology for Mobile TV. The new P960 supports also OMA-BCAST (Open Mobile Alliance Mobile Broadcast Services Enabler Suite).

OMA-BCAST is designed to support broadcast technologies such as DVB-H, 3GPP MBMS, 3GPP2 and mobile unicast streaming systems.

The 16.7mm thin slider style P960 TV phone features a 2.6 inch screen, EPG, PIP, B&O ICE Power amplifier, MP3 player and Bluetooth.

The Samsung SGH-P960 for Europe is expected to ship in May in selected European markets.
