Dell announced its latest XPS desktop gaming machine today and it is a doosey. The XPS 730 H2C edition offers support for quad-core processors, quad GPU graphics and up to four hard drives. Both air cooled and liquid cooled versions are available.
The air-cooler XPS 730 starts at $3,999 and the 730 H2C starts at $4,999. The heart of both systems is the NVIDIA 790i Ultra SLI mainboard. RAM is corsair Dominator DDR3 and optional factory overclocked Intel Core 2 Extreme processors are available.
Graphics available include ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 in four-way CrossFireX or NVIDIA GeForce 800 GT in SLI. The more expensive H2C version uses patent pending two-stage ceramic cooling that also includes a cold plate to cool the chipset.
