Activision announced today that the trio of British rockers known as Muse is bringing some of their most famous tracks to Guitar Hero III as downloadable content. Muse hits that will be available include “Exo-Politics” and “Supermassive Black Hole.”

These tracks come from the bands Black Holes and Revelations album. The tune “Stockholm Syndrome” is also being made available from the Absolution album. The tracks will be available for the PS3 and Xbox on May 8th.

Downloadable content for music games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero has turned out to be a great way for older bands to gain new fans as the tunes are made into playable levels for gamers of new generations. Some bands are even releasing new singles as downloadable game content.
