O2 launches 3G/UMTS for Consumers in Germany

Nokia 7600 Review
O2 announced to provide 3G Phone and 3G Notebook card in Germany starting July 1st.
We reported about the launch of the Vodafone 3G Notebook Card in Europe in February.
O2 will offer the Nokia 7600 UMTS Mobile Phone. The O2 Active contract for the 3G phone has a setup fee of 199Euro. A monthly 50min usage package starts at 14.95Euro. Every extra min. costs 0.39Euro.
The O2 3G card will cost 329,95Euro and the montlhy fee starts at 11,60Euro incl. 10MB volume.
The promissed speeds ar 384kbit/s. The card switches to GPRS in case UMTS is not available. The contract for the O2 3G service also includes usage of the 450 Wi-fi Hotspots in Germany.
