If your home entertainment system is anything like mine with a PS3, Xbox, satellite box and a Wii all vying for wireless or needing wired LAN connections actually getting them connected can be a pain. Despite the fact that my PS3 and the Wii have built-in wireless connectivity, they can’t run at 802.11n speeds meaning none of my other devices like computers can either.
D-Link has a solution to the problem, of running wires to your electronics and slow internal Wi-Fi adapters. It is now shipping its D-Link Xtreme N Duo Wireless Bridge. The device is an 802.11n compliant wireless access point/ bridge that has four LAN jacks on it to allow you to connect devices that lack built-in Wi-Fi.
The bridge has selectable 2.4GHz or 5GHz technology and can connect to slower 802.11g networks as well. The DAP-1522 is available now for $119.99. That makes it roughly twice the price of the wireless adapter for the Xbox, but you can connect four items wirelessly rather than only the Xbox.
