XtremeNotebooks has introduced the first notebook in the US that uses an Intel X3360 Xeon quad-core processor. The Xtreme 917v is now available with Xenon power and lots of other features.
Available options on the 917V include RAID 0, 1, or 5 arrays, dual NVIDIA 8800 or Quadro FX GPUs, Blu-ray burners, and OCZ SSD’s. XtremeNotebooks says that the Xenon powered system is perfect for mobile server deployments. Pricing is unknown at this time.
"Our clients have been asking for this system for a long time now," remarked XtremeNotebooks President Steven Nichols. "We're ready to deliver with over a terabyte of high speed storage, a tried and true XEON Quad Core server CPU and soon 8 Gigs of system RAM -- mobile servers are finally here!"
