A new study talks about how teens are getting TV content today. Not surprisingly lots TV content isn’t reviewed on a TV anymore. 83% of polled teens still say they watch on a TV and 44% report watching content on a desktop computer, 24% of those surveyed say they watch on a notebook computer, 15% on a PMP and 8% on a cell phone.
PMPs use4d by the surveyed group include the PSP and iPod touch among other devices. The content teens are watching is varied. User-generated clips reign supreme with 76% watching things like YouTube. Other popular content types include comedy clips, music video or concerts, full length movies, movie trailers, sports, sitcoms and more.
Only 25% of teens say they watch gossip clips. More teens say they watch news and political clips (42%) than the gossip clips. The study was conducted by ICR and is titled Teens’ Techie Behavior and included 512 teens.
