More Other Stuff News
We reported earlier today about the first photos Phoenix sent from Mars. NASA has now published an approximate-color image that shows polygonal pattern in the ground near the Phoenix Lander that indicates icy grounds.
These polygonal pattern can also be found in the in the arctic regions of Earth.
The photo was taken by the Phoenix Surface Stereo Imager, inferred from two color filters, a violet, 450-nanometer filter and an infrared, 750-nanometer filter.
Now Phoenix just needs to find the water or better some organic stuff.
More details on the NASA site.
