Sony just released firmware 2.35 for the Sony PS3, but already new rumors of the firmware 2.40 appeared.
The PS3 firmware 2.40 would bring in game XMB menus. Additionally achievement management called trophies is rumored to be part of 2.40.
The PS3 firmware 2.35 did not bring any new features, so a new major firmware update could have been already in the works in parallel.
There are no rumors yet on when Sony would release firmware 2.40.
