Last week we reported that the new 10 inch Asus Eee PC 1000 would already be launching in June. Back then no technical specifications were known besides the fact that the Asus Eee 1000 has a 10 inch screen. Hexus has captured a sign at the soon to open Computex 2008 Asus booth revealing the Asus Eee 1000 specifications.
Besides the 10/10.2 inch display the Asus Eee PC 1000 features Intel Atom CPU, 2GB RAM, 80GB (for Windows XP model) storage, HD Audio, Wi-fi, Bluetooth, 1.3MP camera, and a battery life of 3.2-5 hours.
If the 80GB storage is SSD or HDD is not known yet.
All in all the Asus Eee 1000 sounds like a powerful machine. The key ingredient for success will be the price.
