Pretec has unveiled a new flash drive at Computex that sports a huge 48GB capacity and features biometric security. Pretec also announced a new high capacity SSD at the show that has 192GB of data.
The flash drive is called the i-Disk Touch S660 Databank. A fingerprint is used to gain access to the data stored on the drive. The surface of the drive is waterproof, scratch proof and can endure heavy impacts.
The SSD drive has high shock resistance and consumes small amounts of power. The drive is 2.5-inch and has a high speed of up to 60MB/s. The drive also allows users to add up to four pieces of CF memory into the device to get the storage capacity desired. Pricing information for the products is not available at this time.
