When it comes to video games on the PC right now one of the undisputed kings of the market is Age of Conan. Funcom announced that the game has now shipped 1 million copies in less than 3-weeks since the game launch.
Funcom says that the game has proven so popular that many areas are out of the game and that it is resupplying its retail partners with more copies. According to Funcom Age of Conan has claimed the top spot on sales charts in the US, Germany, France, and the UK.
"Sales data shows that Age of Conan is the biggest MMO launch since World of Warcraft," said Funcom Vice President of Sales and Marketing Morten Larssen. "The numbers are very promising, and we are very proud to be one of the fastest selling PC games ever in a launch month and the biggest simultaneous Europe/US MMO launch in history."
