Ok PC gamers, everyone join me in a big WOOT! EA and Crytek announced that the next installment in the Crysis series is coming this fall for PC gamers. The game will be called Crysis Warhead. Rather than picking up after the carrier battle the original game left us at, Warhead will follow a parallel storyline to the original game.
If you wondered what happened to Psycho after the game got going and things focused on Nomad the new game will let us find out. Crysis Warhead will follow Psycho as he fights his way through the other side of the island at the same time as Nomad fights his own battles. The game will include new weapons and vehicles plus an undated CryENGINE 2 and new multiplayer content.
"We were very pleased with the reception of Crysis from both gamers and media after our launch last year," said Cevat Yerli, CEO and President of Crytek. "That being said, one of the key principles of our studio is to always raise the bar. With Warhead, we are focusing on refining our storytelling and game performance, while also delivering more of the visually stunning graphics and immersive, free-roaming gameplay everyone loved in Crysis."
