Realtek and Asus have announced that they have teamed up to collaborate on a new industry-first wireless display using wireless USB technology. The new displays would eliminate the need for cables to connect the LCD to the computer.
The elimination of cables would make for a cleaner office environment and for less connections when setting up computer systems. The first thing that jumps to my mind and is not made clear is what resolutions these displays would be capable of supporting.
"Wireless operation opens up an entirely new experience to our customers, with unsurpassed convenience and ease-of-use," said Vincent Chiou, Director of ASUS Display BU. "Our search for high performance and quality led us to choose Realtek's state-of-the art Wireless USB solutions as a key component in raising the easy usability of ASUS monitors to a new level."
