iPhone SDK huge Success and App Store to launch in 62 Countries

Apple today announced at the WWDC 08 that downloads of its iPhone SDK (Software Development Kit) have topped more than 250,000 since its launch on March 6.
Apple had several developers actually take the stage at the WWDC 08 keynote to show off cool applications they developed for the iPhone.
It is just funny to look back how Apple was against opening up the iPhone in the beginning. Now the also finally realized that developers are their biggest asset to make the iPhone ubiquitous.
Apple today also announced that its new App Store will be available in 62 countries. Users can download applications wirelessly and start using them immediately.
Apple takes 30% from what developers charge for their iPhone Apps, but that includes already all other costs like credit-card fees. Developers can still offer apps for free without charges.
Big shot developers such as AOL, Cisco, eBay, Electronic Arts, Epocrates, TypePad, Salesforce.com and Sega have demonstrated already native applications developed using the iPhone SDK.
