HP announced today that its popular Blackbird 002 will be coming to select retail outlets this summer. HP says that the Blackbird 002 will be available in an exclusive configuration through Amazon.com, Newegg.com, and some Best Buy, Circuit City, J&R and micro Center retail stores.
HP says that this is the first time that the Blackbird has been offered at retail locations. The exclusive configuration for retail outlets will sell for $3299 and feature a Core 2 Quad Q9450 CPU, Vista Home Premium, liquid cooling, 9800 GT graphics in SLI, 4GB corsair dominator RAM, 500 GB storage and more.
"While Blackbird has been well-received online, we know there is a large segment of consumers who crave a hands-on experience before making a purchase decision," said Mike Perkins, vice president and general manager, Voodoo Business Unit, HP. "We are introducing the HP Blackbird 002 to a new audience and anticipate a fantastic response to this one-of-a-kind fragging machine."
