Asustek President Jerry Shen is confident that the company will ship more than 5m Asus Eee PCs despite looming Intel Atom CPU shortage.
Shen also said that Asustek will ship a total of 6.6 million notebooks (excluding Eee PCs) in 2008, up from 4.3 million units in 2007.
Asustek sees the current battery shortage to ease in July and Intel is supposed to deliver enough Atom CPUs by September.
