Samsung announced that its Z400 clamshell phone will be the first Samsung push to talk phone on the sprint Nextel network. The device offers military grade ruggedness, sprint Mobile broadband, hands-free capability, GPS, and messaging.
The Z400 is dust, shock, and vibration resistant. The Z400 will be a Sprint exclusive handset. Other features of the device include a 1.3 MP camera with 2x digital zoom and it can record video clips as well. The Z400 is available now in select markets at $99.99 with a 2-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate.
The Z400 measures 3.7” x 1.9” x 0.96” and weighs 3.5 ounces. DC permissions on the device allow the blocking of incoming PTT calls and call alerts and the phone can send SMS text messages. The blue housing of the phone is also rubberized for better grip and protection against scratches.
