MSI Wind Netbook delayed but even cheaper

More Notebooks and PCs News
MSI was actually planning to start shipping the MSI Wind yesterday. The new shipping date for the MSI Wind U100 is now June 27th.
The good news, MSI lowered the price of the MSI Wind with Windows XP. The price is now only $479.99 ($499 previously).
The reason for the delay is apparently a battery shortage. The MSI Wind notebooks offered for a June 27th shipment will have only a 3 cell battery and not a 6 cell as originally announced. This also explains the price drop.
You might want to wait until MSI ships the 6 cell models in July.
The black and the white MSI Wind are now listed in the MSI online shop, but without a buy or pre-order option.
As reported on the weekend, we think the MSI Wind is beating the new Asus Eee PCs and is the best choice for a low-cost Netbook today.
