Alienware Rolls Out Gaming Rigs with new GTX 280 Graphics

Alienware announced that it is offering Area-51 desktop computers with the new NVIDIA GTX 280 GPUs. Alienware says that the Area-51 7500 will support a single GTX 280, the Area-51 flagship will support SLI GTX 280’s and the Area-51 ALX will support 3-way SLI.
Pricing for rigs with the new NVIDIA graphics inside start at $1849 for a single GTX 280 on the Area-51 7500, the GTX 280 is a $650 option alone. If you move up to SLI GTX 280 cards on the Area-51 flagship it’s a $1200 option putting the starting price at $3099. For 3-way SLI GTX 280 cards on the ALX system you are looking at a $1700 option and a starting price for the system of $6299.
