Aluratek announced a new alarm clock today that is perfect for the Internet radio buff. The clock has an internal MP3 player and users can stream Internet radio stations from around the globe for free. The clock is compatible with plug-n-play audio servers like Microsoft Media Player, Music Match jukebox and more.
To provide Internet radio access the clock has built-in 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connectivity, an Ethernet connection, and USB 2.0 connectivity. Music can be played directly from a flash drive and MP3, WMA, and WVA files are compatible. The system also includes a remote and retails for $179.
The clock has two programmable alarms that allow users to wake up to music from local FM radio, MP3s, Internet radio, or several different alarm tones. A pair of RCA jacks allows for connection of external speakers as well.
