THQ announced today that its Wii exclusive Big Beach Sports game has shipped to American retailers. The game will launch in Asia on June 27th and in Europe on June 26th. The game is rated E for everyone and allows up to four players to compete in beach sports for $29.99.
Games included are beach versions of volley ball, cricket, soccer, football, disc golf, and Bocce. There is also a single player tournament mode for the game. All the games are controlled via motion like you expect with the Wii.
"Big Beach Sports lets gamers play summer sports they're familiar with and, in many cases will teach them games they've never played before," said Steve Dauterman, senior vice president of product development, THQ. "Compelling summer sports, an intuitive, easy-to-pick-up control scheme and a fun-filled beach setting make Big Beach Sports a perfect title for all Wii gamers."
