Now that the gang at Firefox has their own Guinness World Record for the most software downloads in a single day, NVIDIA is looking to set its own world record. NVIDIA is looking to set a world record at NVISION 08 on August 25th in San Jose, California.
The record for the longest non-stop LAN party will be the target. To set the record a team of gamers will have to play video games for 36 hours straight. Gamers will be allowed a break of 10 minutes for every hour played. If the record falls to the team each member will get numerous prizes like a medal, custom gear, gift cards, and more. NVIDIA is looking for team members to participate in the event now.
"I have faith and confidence in the NVIDIA gaming community, one of the most loyal, energetic, and enthusiastic core audiences of NVIDIA since we were a startup," said Sheryl Huang, NVIDIA marketing director and veteran of countless LAN events. "At NVIDIA events in the past, these guys have been up all night anyway. Their energy is incredible. I'm looking forward to them setting this record and earning a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. It's glory time."
