In early June Softbank announced that they will be bringing the iPhone 3G to Japan. Today the Japanese carrier revealed the pricing for the iPhone 3G.
The 8GB iPhone 3G sells for about 23,000 yen (~$213). Customers can also pay that price in 24 monthly installments.
Softbank's monthly charge for iPhone 3G is 7,280 yen (~$68), including unlimited data-transmission usage.
The monthly charge for the iPhone 3G is much higher to what Softbank usually charges for their phones. The company hopes the iPhone hype will draw new customers from DoCoMo and KDDI.
